The Highway Has Always Been Your Lover (from a Lucinda Williams lyric), acrylic paint on concrete wall. 2020 West End Avenue/West End and 21st, Nashville, TN: This mural features a 1958 Oldsmobile 98 on an abandoned highway with a woman’s legs happily and freely-swinging out of the side window. It was conceptualized from a photo the client had seen. After discussing colors and imagery, I staged the painting using a friend’s car and my wife’s legs to get the final composition for the finished painting. 49′ x 8′ — Uptown Underground
